SCHEDULE FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 16-17
THE STUDENT DIVISION for ages 7 and up
Ballet classes teach all of the basic positions, proper execution of the turn out of the leg, correct use of the feet, arms, and head, and the French Ballet vocabulary. Ballet helps develop strength, flexibility, musicality, and grace. Ballet provides the foundation for future dance training.
Teen Ballet provides classes designed exclusively for teenagers wishing to begin ballet. Taught at an age-appropriate pace, these classes feed into the Student Ballet levels.
Modern classes complement the Ballet program and expand students' movement vocabulary with a free and expressive style of dance.
See the Tap & Hip Hop, Cecchetti, and Boys' Program for more information on additional classes for the Student Division dancer.
All ages are as of September 1, 2016

Dance Performance Workshop is back and expanded!
Fridays, September 9-January 27, 4:15-6:15pm
For dancers in Ballet 5, 4, 3, or 2B
From the studio...to the stage! Our new and exciting Dance Performance Workshop engages students in the process of building a dance concert through audition techniques, learning choreography, design elements, and much more. Led by faculty members Calyn Guberman
, weekly classes function as rehearsals as the dancers prepare for formal performances on Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28 in Studio5. Guest teachers will be brought in to teach choreography, share professional experiences, and guide the budding artists on their way. Limited to 24 dancers.
Please note: This is a workshop class and does not count toward the dancer’s recommended classes per week. Dancers must be enrolled in the recommended number of ballet classes per week for their level to participate. Consistent class attendance is mandatory.
